At Breemar Flower Farm, flowers aren’t just beautiful—they’re experiences. My floral design workshops are hands-on, joy-filled gatherings where creativity blooms. Whether you’re joining a seasonal arrangement class, hosting a private workshop for your women’s club, or planning a team-building floral event, you’ll leave with new skills, fresh inspiration, and something beautiful to enjoy at home or share with others. All designs feature locally grown, eco-friendly blooms, when available, that celebrate the season and support our community.

Garden Consulting for Homes, Estates, and Organizations

Through my Your Garden Pathway consulting services, I provide personalized garden and landscape planning for homeowners, estate managers, and organizations looking to create outdoor spaces that are both stunning and sustainable. From small pollinator gardens to large-scale estate plantings, every plan is tailored to your goals, site conditions, and maintenance needs. I combine horticultural expertise with a deep understanding of sustainable, pollinator-friendly design to create spaces that thrive for years to come. My consulting approach works for private residences, historical properties, clubs, schools, and community spaces—anywhere a garden can grow and inspire.

During this landscape coaching session, I helped a frustrated gardener choose plants that would deter deer and add color to his garden.

Pollinator Garden Planning

The gardener wanted to attract butterflies, bees, and birds to her yard but felt overwhelmed by the choices. Together, we made a simple plan that she and her pollinator friends will enjoy.

Mass planting of rudbeckia hirta, native to Virginia and often called black eyed susans. Nicole often recommends this plant during garden consultations for attracting birds to the garden.
Nicole Dillon often recommends planting hellebores in shade gardens because of its evergreen foliage and late winter, long-lasting blooms. This plant is a go to plant for winter interest during Nicole's garden coaching.
Serendipity allium in full bloom. Alliums have grass like (loriope like foliage) and globe like purple flowers that dry beautifully and provide winter interest.

Long and Narrow Cedar Raised bed at hip height for ease of garden for those who are aging or have mobility issues. The raised bed is filled with sunflowers, calibrachoa, a tomato plant, and a pepper plant. Nicole Dillon installed this raised bed as a
Nicole Dillon's personal red garden. Everything in this garden has at least some red in it. The plants include red hardy hibiscus, coreopsis, Cheyenne Sky grass, Ginger Wine Nine Bark, and Red Dianthus

FAQs

  • No, I operate a micro-farm out of my backyard. I'd like to keep my property "home" for my children and not a public space.

  • No, my farm is not open to the public. I do not carry the appropriate insurance for "you pick flowers." Please visit our friends at Freckled Flower Farm in Montpelier, VA for this experience.

  • All of my arrangements are custom made. I do not use recipes so every arrangement is unique and priced accordingly. Flowers used in the arrangement are based on what's growing at the time of the order and if I need to purchase additional flowers from another local farmer. You can expect special occasion arrangements to be priced at $50+. I will deliver free of charge if within 10 miles of Ashland.

  • Organic seals of approval are very expensive, however, we do not use synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers on our farm. We believe in Integrated Pest Management and eco-system balance.
