The Story

A flower farm rooted
in intention

Hi, I'm Nicole — the farmer, florist, and certified Master Gardener behind Breemar Flower Farm in Ashland, VA. On our one-acre farm tucked in the heart of Central Virginia, I grow peonies, roses, dahlias, and seasonal perennials using sustainable practices that put the soil first.

What started as a deep love for growing things has grown into a full-service flower farm specializing in farm-grown wedding and event flowers, private Petal Party workshops, and seasonal farm-fresh arrangements for the community I call home.

Every stem I use — whether grown right here or sourced from a trusted American grower — is chosen with care. I believe that when you know where your flowers come from, the designs they become feel more meaningful.

The Philosophy

Why farm-grown
flowers matter

Most cut flowers sold in the United States are imported — grown overseas under conditions that prioritize volume over quality, and shipped thousands of miles before they ever reach a vase.

At Breemar, every stem is either grown on our Ashland farm or sourced from American growers we trust. That means fresher flowers, longer vase life, and designs that reflect what's actually in season — not what's available on a wholesale import list.

It also means supporting American agriculture, reducing the environmental footprint of your flowers, and getting arrangements that feel genuinely unique because they are.

one

Start in the soil

The best designs begin long before the arrangement — they start with what's planted, what's growing, and what the season is offering.

two

Seasonal, always

Working with what's in season means every arrangement is distinct, honest, and far more beautiful than anything forced out of season.

three

American-grown, never imported

Every supplemental stem is sourced from American farms. Your flowers support local agriculture — all the way down the supply chain.

four

Community first

As a Hanover Master Gardener and preferred florist at the Hanover Arts & Activities Center, this farm exists in service of the community it calls home.
